Dannon Lindley,

A gentleman.

An athlete.

A guy who shows great character.

A person who wants to succeed in life.

Dannon Lindley, born in Lithia Springs, Ga on June 9th, 1979. When he was young, he learned to read at the age of 1. When he was 5, he started school at Clara Maxwell Pitts Elementary school in Atlanta, Ga. When he was 8 he moved to Macon, Ga, where he went to Ingram Pye Elementary where he finished 4th and 5th grade. The next year when he tried to enroll in school, but they put him in the 5th grade instead of the 6th. So he had to repeat the 5th grade. That wasn't so bad for him because he had the highest Grade Point Average of his 5th grade class.

The next year he started West Fulton Middle School where he met new friends and began to mature. As the years past he lost a few friends because of stupidity and they were killed. When he graduated from the 8th grade, he went on to High School.

In the 9th grade, there was a lot of distractions such as gangs, drugs, and peer pressure, but he overcame that. He tried out for the Basketball team, but he wasn't as good as he thought. He was cut from the team. At the end of the year, academically he ranked number 3 in the Freshman class.

The next year, he decided to play Football and he was one of the best on the team. The first game he played, he caught one interception and made 8 tackles. After football season, he tried out for the Basketball team and made it as one of the starters. The team finished 11 and 1 that season. He ran track for the first time and it was very difficult because he had to run the hurdles. The summer after his Sophomore year, he went into track camp at Appalachian State University where he learned to perfect the hurdles.

His 11th grade year he started at cornerback in Football and it was a great experience. The team had it's ups and downs, but they finished 2nd in the 5AAA region. They went to the first round of the playoffs and lost to Stephens County, 34 - 28. After Football season, he played Basketball, but the team couldn't get things to work right. They finished 4-14 and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Southside High School. After Basketball season, he ran track and did very well. He was ranked in the top 5 in the 110 High Hurdles and 300 Intermediate hurdles in the city. Academically he ranked number 8 in the Junior class with a 3.2 Grade Point Average.

My twelfth grade year was my best year at because I started to get into different things and activities. At the beginning of the year I campaign for Mr. Harper-Archer and I won. The time I was king was the was the greatest experience because people started to know more and I got to dress up a lot (I make a suit look good). During football I played Strong Safety and Wide Receiver, I was also one of the captain's. This season was different from the others because we all stuck together through thick and thin. We finished 4th in our region with a 7-3 record and lost in the first round of the playoffs. The basketball season was a memorable one also because we was the first team in Harper-Archer's history to make to the state playoffs. Track season I became better in the hurdles medalling in every major meet. At the end of the year I received defensive Player of the Year in football , the Spirit Award in track and to top it off I received Male Athlete of the Year.
